I was living the dream, but inside something was missing….
I had practiced yoga on and off for around a decade before making the life changing decision to dedicate myself to daily practice. I was living the party girl lifestyle in France, working hard playing harder, when I made this decision. I cannot tell you why, but something inside me told me that I had to give it a go. It was a new year’s resolution… I must confess that I did not practice yoga on new years day, or the day after, or the day after that (did I mention, party girl lifestyle?). Well later that week after having recovered from the adventures of new year’s eve, I went to google to search ‘yoga class beginner’. I was overwhelmed with choices, and I began my journey with a 15 minutes vinyasa flow. My shared apartment was in the roof of an old building, so my head was touching the peeling ceiling and no yoga mat on the sticky floor. However, half way through, I no longer minded awkwardly twisting to the side for backbends and I didn’t mind lying on the dirty floor in shavasana because I was blissed out. I had no understanding of why, but I knew I felt fantastic. I had found what I was looking for. From then I was hooked, I knew that this was meant to be a part of my life and I needed to share this magic with others.
I studied at the Yoga Alliance Accredited, Himalayan Yoga Institute. I was trained in classical Raja Dhiraja Ashtanga. With this as a foundation I received training in Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin styles. I also trained and practiced Nada Yoga, yogic diet and philosophy.
I believe that yoga should not just be a physical exercise, but a tool to help you with life. Yoga is a transformative healing process. I offer the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns you may have going on for you, and we can work together to create a yogic plan to help you become your best self.
